Important Information for Applicants

If you’ve already registered with AmeriCorps and applied to a program, you entered application information into the AmeriCorps Recruitment and Placement System (ACRPS). This system has recently been retired and replaced with the new My AmeriCorps portal. All of your application and personal information that had been entered into ACRPS has been transferred into the new My AmeriCorps system. You’ll have access to a customized “Applicant Home Page” from which you’ll see new features to help you manage your application process. By registering to use the new system, your information can follow you as a member and alum. This means that you will be able to access information and forms you may need throughout your service, all in one place.

It’s easy to register – just follow these simple steps.

  1. Click here to open My AmeriCorps
        
  2. Click on “Apply to Serve.”

    You will then be asked to enter your Name, Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth, and E-mail Address. NOTE: Please be sure to use the exact same Name, Social Security Number, and Date of Birth you previously entered into the system. Otherwise, the system will not be able to locate you as a previous applicant.
        
  3. Click “Next.”

    You will then be directed to a Registration Confirmation screen, instructing you to check your email for a message with a link and further instructions on how to create a user name and password.
        
  4. Check your e-mail and click on the link provided to create a user name and password. After you have created a user name and password, you must login in the system within 72 hours. Once you have logged in, you will then be able to view all your information.
